THE DESIGNER - Dario Acciarito, a Swiss designer with Italian origins, started his activity of

designer in 2000, accomplishing designing projects for private companies, and over the time, also for boutiques and architects.

The only activity of designing was not enough for Dario, who decided to join his friend Daniele Tortelli,working together in the fi eld of metal work (mailing,banister, gates, balconies in glass and other materials).

After two years of cooperation, they decided to rent a big warehouse near Lugano, in Gordola, where they casted their energies together, founding the company Hutch Design. The activity has improved over time, hiring 5 people at the warehouse.

Work has always been a lot, but his persistent thought towards design has never been put in a drawer … that is why he decided to invent a new innovative product of design, characterized by a high quality, dedicated to all the organizations and the public areas. That is how,

after years of studying Swiss Flower was born, as a flourishing blossom.

THE SWISS FLOWER - Swiss Flower was born from a fortunate combination of ideas, Italian design and style and skilful Swiss art.

Conceived to be placed in a very visited context such as the one of the lakefront, not only by locals but also by the numerous tourists visiting all year around, Swiss Flower plays with endearing and light-hearted shapes calling to mind the profi le of a fl ower, as its name suggests. This is the reason why it is a particularly flexible seating suitable for any environment: from the airport to the golf course, from the station to the square. The refi ned and at the same time sober and essential design make this product extremely

indicated to enhance and characterized the street furniture of the area it is destined for. Swiss Flower will certainly be enthusiastically welcomed by ist future users, who will experience this bench as a funny element, different from the seating generally used and seen, but it will also be a means to make the area where is placed more intensely enjoyed, with positive

consequences from a tourist and economic point of view.

Being conceived as an object able to enrich and enhance a context, this bench has been realized with valuable materials that are at the same time long-lasting and easy to maintain, to create a quality product lasting over time. Swiss Flower is an object endowed with aesthetic value that, placed in a very frequented area, lends itself wonderfully to a promotional use.

Companies can rent one or more benches, to be customized with their logo and used as a promotional medium. The corporate logo can be applied on an elegant sheet of transparent

Plexiglas, placed on the back of the bench, where it is visible. This customization is possible on single benches, through a small door key-lock.

THE STORY - The production of the bench was de localized in Aprilia, near Rome in 2010, in a company operating in the fi eld of street furniture. The company in charge of the production of Swiss Flower is one of the most important in the Italian street furniture market. The following step was to establish a network of agents, fi rst for the Italian market, then for the Swiss, German and Austrian market. Now Hutch Design is expanding towards the North Europa, in Danimark, Sweden, and other countries in this area, moreover it is looking for new

agents interested in Swiss Flower, in the U.K., Iberian peninsula, Russia.

Not less important, the contacts established with Maghreb region and Abu Dabi, through the Italian agents network.
