On the first two weekends of Advent, from Friday to Sunday, Kambly will hold its first-ever Christmas market in Trubschachen. In 25 festively decorated wooden Emmental chalets, culinary treats and the finest handicrafts from local merchants will be on sale for Christmas.
The first-ever Kambly Christmas market will offer visitors a variety of regional specialties and local handicrafts. Lovers of the region's cuisine will find homemade Entlebuch pasta, an assortment of Emmental cheeses, meats and sausages, Schangnauer meringue, tea blends and coffees. You ll also find many beautiful, hand-crafted artworks for the perfect Christmas present.
Something for everyone
In the Christmas tent, a daily programme of events is certain to put a sparkle in your child's eye and also charm the adults in the audience. Visitors can enjoy a puppet show, decorate gingerbread biscuits with our master pastry chef, listen to the sounds of Christmas, or paint a cup purchased from Trubschachen's village potter.

The Kambly Christmas market will be open from Friday to Sunday on 29 November to 1 December and 6-8 December 2013. Take the "Kambly Train" to our Christmas market
The best way to reach Trubschachen is by train. Direct trains depart from Berne and Lucerne on the hour. On the "Kambly Train," which travels between Berne and Lucerne and back four times a day, passengers can listen to Christmas stories from November 5 to December 22, 2013, in the third carriage after the locomotive engine. On the first three weekends of Advent, a storyteller will also capture the imagination of passengers, both young and old, with short Christmas tales on the Kambly train (from Lucerne at 11:57 a.m.and from Berne at 1:36 p.m.).
In conjunction with the BLS railway, Kambly is offering a discount on the RailAway offer for passengers from across Switzerland traveling to the Kambly Christmas market. This special offer is available online and at all rail stations in Switzerland.
