Start2Match: the matching venue for Startups and SMEs
Lugano, 6th March 2013 – The third edition of Start2Match, scheduled for the next 17th of April in Villaz-St-Pierre (Fribourg) is on the go.
A unique location is hosting the venue: the center of industrial development Le Vivier of Villaz-St-Pierre.
Start2Match represents the international matching event, which allows entrepreneurs and companies to develop their business relationships. The idea of the event was born from Swiss Business Group, Swiss company based in Lugano and dealing with the internationalization of companies. Thanks to the integration with Start2Business, the corporate business network of Swiss Business Group, Start2Match has a structure, which combines traditional face-to-face meetings with the modern online-communication tools. The creation of an Online Business-Matching tool, available at www.start2match.com, where meetings among companies can happen even outside the physical venue, aims at promoting opportunities of business development.
On the occasion of Start2Match Fribourg, the industrial development center Le Vivier and the incubator Venturi made their facilities available for startups and SMEs, in order to offer the right location for the numerous meetings scheduled during the day.
Daily activities of Le Vivier and Venturi concentrate on support to companies which offer high innovative and technological support, both startup and established ones, by providing them with spaces and tools for the realization of their startup projects.
The collaboration between Swiss Business Group and Le Vivier for the event arose from the common engagement in supporting companies, on the one hand providing them with assistance in the internationalization by Swiss Business Group, on the other hand giving logistic support to companies by Le Vivier.
In order to favor business development during the venue, Swiss Business Group has organized two special awards for all participating companies: the Best Startup Project Award and the Best SME Project Award. During the venue, companies have the opportunity to introduce their business projects to a selected jury and the other participants, in order to be voted at the end of the works.
This decision would like to be an incentive and a strong signal to challenge the difficult situations in which many SMEs and Startups shall live, which need now more than ever to have means and tools for the promotion and the development of their business.
