RCCS: NEW SOLUTIONS TO AVOID CAR DEADLY COLLISIONS

Riflessometro (“Reflexmeter”), also known as “RCCS” (Riflessometro Car Connection System) is an electronic device able to detect all factors causing traffic collisions, such as tiredness, indispositions, as well as alcohol and drug abuse or the assumption of drugs causing bad effects on psychophysical conditions.

The use of Riflessometro is very simple: test about psychophysical conditions can be taken using an app, available both for devices supporting iOs and Androids systems, and connected to installed RCCS through a wireless connection. The app is able to measure and to process data about time of reaction between the visual stimulus produced by the device and the voluntary motoric reaction of the operator.

In case of positive result, the app allows the ignition of the vehicle by the RCCS. On the contrary, in case of negative result the system does not allow the ignition. Furthermore, all results are locally stored in the memory of the app and sent to a central database.

The idea of Riflessometro came from the study of a test device adopted by aviation pilots in order to assess their psychophysical conditions before flying. Then, a similar device to install on vehicle has been developed, in order to improve personal safety on the road.
