“We treat people as long as they are healthy”

EAST AND WEST / YIN AND YANG

Health is in the West and East, a constant theme - but with different attitudes and implementation: where in the West the training for strength, speed, muscle, etc. is in the foreground - and the doctor is usually consulted

only in case of illness, the focus is in Asia is different, in terms of sustainability into old age, on fl exibility, body balance, stamina, tendons, ligaments, joints and tissue structures and, in terms of prevention, the regular examination at the doctor is quite normal.

FUNFIT - HEALTH CARE IN A FUN WAY

Interesting and meaningful are the different attitudes towards health in Western and Eastern countries, and such difference is expressed also in variation of languages: whereas in German language you “make” Taiji, or Qigong (exercises), in Chinese language you “play” Tiaji (wantaiji). The secret of success is perhaps in “playing” with things, rather than trying make it happen. The thinking and actions of the Chinese population are characterized by exceptionally strong philosophy of health care, which affects them in daily life. Have you ever been on an early morning in a Chinese park, or on a green strip in a residential aerea or even on the roadside? Whole “armies” of people, from children, going through adults, adults to pensioners practice in Taiji, do morning exercises, dance, play badminton or move elsewhere. This is mainly about two things: the sport is played outdoors in fresh from, and together with other people. Most exercises are done in large groups, instead of practicing alone in a corner of the park. Even gymnastics and dances include several dozen of participants. You will usually meet the same kids, nice old ladies and gentlemen, every single day, at the same time, and at the same place.
